Present Perfect 
  • A state of affairs is described as being relative to the present time
  • In other words, something that started in the past but is still relevant in the present
  • For example, I have lived in the Netherlands for over thirty-five years.
  • Look whether you can use the word 'al' in your translation.
  • For example, Ik woon al meer dan vijfendertig jaar in Nederlands. 
  • Key words: for, yet, never, ever, just, already, since

  • For example, She has been watching too much television lately.
