Have you seen any news items about the environment in the last week?

How do you feel about protesting?

Do you think the means justify the ends in terms of ways of protesting? For instance blocking highways or chaining yourself to trees?

Watching

Pay close attention to the main arguments presented by the speaker.

Gather your thoughts p. 1:

Write a short summary of the main points, include your own opinion (100-150 words)

Think of one thing young people (including yourself) could do to help the environment.

Group discussion

• What was the speaker’s main argument about the role of youth?
• Do you agree with the speaker’s point on the impact of youth in fighting climate change? Why or why not?
• Have you or someone you know been involved in any activities or initiatives related to climate change? 
• How does climate change personally affect you and your community? Have you noticed any specific changes in your environment?
• How has this talk influenced your thoughts or feelings about your own ability to contribute to solving climate change?
