  • the subject is the noun, making Bob the noun because he is a person, place, thing, or idea.

Common or Proper Nouns
  • a common noun-is a nouns that begin with a lower case letter
  • ex. horse, girl, school, boots
  • a proper noun-is one with an ordinary name
  • Occasionally, simple subjects that are proper nouns are two words, such as a first and last name.
ex. Trystan, Texas, NCHA, Trystan Crow
