But I can search Facebook through Google, how is this deep web?
This is about indexing. Indexing is when websites are registered with a search engine.
You are able to search Facebook, as it is an indexed website. You are unable to access another person's Facebook user profile through Google. You need to log in. The content, i.e. photos, information, hobbies ect is not indexed, so this is part of the deep web.

Dark Web
The dark web differs from the deep web. It is designed to make you annonymous. It encrypts the data and you require special software, like TOR, to access it.

TOR Activity

TOR stands for The Onion Router
It has many layers and it is difficult to find the center.
Due to the annonymity of TOR, it has been used for many illegal activities such as selling drugs, people, crime for hire, botnets and weapons.

More TOR
TOR was not created for this purpose. It was actually created by the U.S. Navy to send and recieve encrypted files.
Not all Dark Web uses are negative, it is often used by political activists in oppressive coutrnies, whistleblowers, people in danger and those who have alternate views or wish to have more privacy.

TOR was created in the 1990s to protect sensitive government files being sent to other locations
To this day, most of the funding for TOR comes from the US Government
The government still use it to send encrypted files and they also want it to be available recieve intelligence from overseas.
Other government agencies want the TOR project shut down.
Many people use it for increased privacy
