Aim - Complete a penetrating conditioning treatment and round brush blow dry on a peer.
Lesson Objectives:

Penetrating conditioners are deep treatment conditioners which go deeper into the cortex.

Penetrating Treatment
  • Penetrating conditioners are deep conditioning treatments
  • They penetrate the hairs outer layer into the cortex  and adds strength and moisture to the hair
  • Penetrating conditioners need to be on the hair for 1-15 minutes depending on the manufacturers’ instructions.
  • Putting the client under heat helps the conditioner to penetrate deeper into the hair

Choose suitable products and explain benefits.
Complete consultation - Including all hair tests.
Shampoo and detangle the hair from point to root.
Section the hair into 4 quadrants.
Apply conditioning treatments to mid-length and ends.
Complete petrissage massage.
Develop, rinse and blowdry.
