How to recognize...
A noun (n): Person, Place, Thing or Idea
A verb (v): An action word
An adjective (adj): describes a noun (we put "to" before a verb)
An adverb (adv): describes a verb - (adds something to the verb)

Prefix Pairs Game – Rule Card
Rules:
1. Lay all cards face down on the table.
2. Take turns turning over two cards and reading them aloud.
3. Try to find pairs of words that take the same negative prefix:
mis-, un-, dis-, re-, over-, il-, in-, im-.
4. If they match, keep the pair. If not, turn them back over.
5. The player with the most pairs wins!

Extension Tasks
1. Sentence Challenge: Keep a pair only if you can make a correct sentence with one word.
2. Prefix Prediction: Before flipping, guess which prefix the word will take.
3. Discussion Task: Choose 3 cards and explain how the negative form changes the meaning.
4. Writing Task: Write a short paragraph using at least 5 negative-prefix words.
5. Speed Round: Set a timer for 2 minutes — how many pairs can your group find?
