What to look out for while scanning a text?

1. Read the heading (title) and subheadings
2. Look for key words
3. Look at words that are printed differently (for example, bold, italics, or words that are LARGE or underlined)
4. Look at charts and graphs
5. Look for symbols, for example €, £, $ or *
6. Stop reading when you have found what you were looking for
