Presentation: topic & goal
When you give a presentation, it is important to inform your audience about the topic and the goal of your presentation. When your topic and goal are clear, it will be easier for them to understand your presentation and keep paying attention.

This is especially important in two parts of your presentation:
1 In the first part of your presentation: the introduction. Make sure you:
  • introduce yourself;
  • mention the topic;
  • explain the goal of your presentation: do you want to give information, teach the audience something, etc.?

2 In the final part of your presentation: the conclusion. Make sure you:
  • explain or repeat the most important message(s) of your presentation;
  • ask if there are any questions;
  • thank your audience for listening.
