The SHIT Rule

The SHIT Rule has to do with She, He, and IT.

The rule is:

If the subject is a he, she or it, the verb gets +s.

So I dance becomes She dances.

De SHIT rule

Bij de Present Simple krijg je bij she, he en it een s achter het werkwoord.

We noemen dit ook wel de SHIT-regel

voorbeeld: 

Anna drinks alcohol every mornig

2. SHIT-rule (+s bij he/she/it)

Gebruik:

1.  feiten

2. gewoonten

3.  regelmatige gebeurtenissen

4.  dienstregelingen

Negations

So you make a negation by adding don't or doesn't to the sentence. Think about the SHIT Rule!

So not like this:          I like not cookies. 

But like this:                I don't like cookies

She/He/It = Shit

If you can replace the noun with the pronouns she/he/it you add an ‘s/es’ to the end of the verb in the present tense

Examples:         

Does the beautiful unicorn jump in the rain?

Bob runs around the field

I scream, she screams, he screams, we all scream for ice cream

Ontkennend.

Je maakt een zin ontkennend door don't of doesn't erbij te zetten. Think about the SHIT Rule!

Kijk naar het werkwoord: 

                                 He plays video games every day.

                        He doesn't play video games every day.

De +s verdwijnt na doesn't. Dit gebeurde ook bij de vraagzinnen.

Ook hier weer met het werkwoord to be > I am not tall

Gebruik je om aan te geven dat iets nu aan de gang is.
