Why do we use
punctuation?

Why punctuate?
Punctuation is used to make the  meaning of a sentence clearer.
Full stops end a sentence.
Exclamation marks( !) show that a sentence is supposed to be exciting, shocking or urgent.
Question marks (?) show that someone requires information.
Commas (,) allow for a pause in the writing, and to separate items in a list.

How Did You Do?
Glastonbury festival is a big music and arts event held in Somerset.  Some of the most successful pop artists in history, such as, Oasis, U2 and Coldplay have played there.  The festival began in the 1970s and was organised by locals. When a farmer called, Michael Eavis, took over the organisation of the festival, it began to grow in size. Now the festival is held every year, although occasionally there is a break which allows the field to recover.
