Reading & listening
You are going to read and/or listen to the first four chapters of James and the giant peach. Film-maker Taika Waititi is going to read it to you and he gets help from some very famous actors. While he is reading, you can read the text too, so you can listen and read at the same time.

After listening to and reading these chapters, you will make a couple of assignments.
The GOAL is to practise your reading skills, but also expand your vocabulary. The vocabulary exercises will focus on personality adjectives and combines words from Think Unit 6 with words from James and the giant peach.

We are going to listen to Taika and the actors reading the first chapters to you. While reading, Taika accidentally skips a page. This page is marked green on your pdf. I will pause the video and read this page for you. Then, we will listen further to Taika and the other actors.
