What is the Water Cycle?
The water cycle is a continuous loop. It moves water from the Earth's surface to the sky and back again.
Evaporation
Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, or oceans, turning it into vapour or steam.
Condensation
Condensation is when water vapour in the air cools down and turns back into liquid, forming clouds.
Precipitation
Precipitation happens when water falls from clouds as rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
Collection
Collected water returns to rivers, lakes, and oceans. This is where the cycle starts again!
Why is the Water Cycle Important?
The water cycle provides fresh water for plants, animals, and humans. It helps keep the Earth healthy!
