  • Meeste werkwoorden: + ed
  • werkwoorden die eindigen op een e: + d 
  • Werkwoorden die eindigen met een medeklinker + Y: weg met de Y en plak + ied (try --> tried)  
  • Werkwoorden die eindigen met een klinker én een medeklinker? Verdubbel de laatste letter + ed 
( stop --> stopped)
