Direct questions
Meaning:
- informal questions, mostly to people you already know.

Form:
Just a question. Can start with a 'wh' word (which, where, what, when)
How/how long.
Do/does/did etc.

Example:
When are we going to watch Frozen?

Meaning:
- formal questions, mostly to people you don't know.

Form:
It is still a question, but with a small 'introduction'

Example:
Can you tell me when we are going to watch Frozen?
Could you tell...                                 I was wondering if...
I'd like to know...                           Can you say...
                              Do you know...                            Do you have any idea...
