Relationships and Sexuality
The term intimate relationships is most commonly used in reference to sex, but it can also refer to hugs, kissing, holding hands, cuddling and skin-to-skin touching.
Romantic relationships involve deep love, which may include initial feelings of nervousness or excitement and might develop into a long term commitment. They exist alongside a sexual relationship and often involve an element of intimacy.

As adults, we might choose to have a physically close, loving and even sexual relationship with another adult.
Some people may choose to be in a relationship with someone of the opposite gender or someone of the same gender.
