Retrospective

• Pronouns
• What are pronouns?

• Write down a few sentences about your May break but do not use any pronouns. 
• Rewrite the same sentences using pronouns.

Orientation

• 9 weeks till camp and end of year

• Chapter 4 test
• Presentation (SE)
• Work on your grammar and vocabulary
• At the end of this class you can use pronouns instead of nouns

Instruction

Pronouns are words that we use instead of nouns (like names of people, places, or things). We use pronouns to avoid repeating the same nouns all the time.

Practice

• We make exercise 1 together. 
• And check it together.

Independent processing

What: Make exercise 1, 2, 3 in your coursebook and make exercise 2 and 3 on the extra sheet.

How: Use your coursebook pages 12 and 13 and the hand-out

Time: 10 minutes

Help: Ask your neighbour for help, or come to my desk.

Processing: After 10 minutes we are going to discuss exercise 2 and 3 and you hand-in your hand-out.

Done?: Make the extra assignment on the hand-out. 

Alex and Mia went to the zoo. They were excited to see the lions. Alex took a photo of a giraffe and showed it to Mia. She laughed because it looked like the giraffe was smiling. Later, he bought ice cream for both of them. It was a great day!
