How to write a good sentence!

• Basic sentence structure: 

1. You always start with the subject (onderwerp/persoon).
2. Add a verb (werkwoord).
3. Then you add what a/the person is doing.
4. Add the place if it is known.
5. Lastly you add the time element. 

Always remember! Wie Doet Wat/Wie Waar Wanneer or... Wanneer Wie Doet Wat/Wie Waar.

For example: My cats ate a plate of fish this morning.

Writing exercise 19, unit 5

• We are going to do this exercise together. 
• Afterwards you have to hand in this exercise. Write it down in word and hand it in on classroom.

Vertaal: op vakantie in Frankrijk, auto-ongeluk

1. We were on a holiday in France and had a car accident.
2. On holiday in France, a car accident happened.

Vertaal: vader heup(hip) gebroken, ligt in een ziekenhuis in Frankrijk.

1. My dad has broken his hip and now he is in a hospital in France.
2. Father his hip broke, lays in a hospital in France.

Vertaal: Moest geopereerd worden.

1. He must be operated.
2. He needed to have an operation.

Vertaal: Heup doet alsmaar pijn.

1. So, his hip keeps hurt.
2. So, his hip is hurting all the time.

Vertaal: Kan niet uit bed, verveelt zich.

1. He is bored because he can't get out of bed.
2. Can't get out of bed, bores himself.

Vertaal: Mist zijn familie en werk

1. He is missing his family and work.
2. He miss his family and work.
