Ontkennende vragen gebruik je om:
- te vragen om bevestiging.
- ergernis of ongeloof uit te drukken.

Zet de ontkenning vooraan:

• Don't you like Sia? (bevestiging)
• Didn't you hear me? (bevestiging/ergernis?
• Can't you just be quiet? (ergernis)
• Haven't you got Netflix? (ongeloof)

Hoe te gebruiken

Als een zin een vorm van to be heeft of have got 

of een ander hulpwerkwoord (zoals can)

zet dit werkwoord vooraan + not

Can't he help me with his homework?

Isn't it his dream to become a famous actor?

Hoe te gebruiken

Staan er andere werkwoorden in zin
> don't/ doesn't gebruiken bij ontkennende vragen in de tegenwoordige tijd.
> didn't bij vragen in de verleden tijd.
