Now prepare for the interview.
  • In couples, prepare both roles, using cue cards (from teacher) and any relevant words from FU units 76-90
  • As the headteacher, which 5 questions would you ask the applicant?
  • As the aspiring teacher, think of 5 arguments why you would be perfect for the job of English teacher
  • Take 10 minutes to prepare and make notes, name on top.

Now do the interviews
  • Teacher assigns groups of 3
  • Take turns in roles, 1 interviewee  1 interviewer, 1 timekeeper/observer 
  • 15 minutes in total
  • plenary discussions afterwards
