What is a podcast?

Slide 1 - Open question

Podcast listening assignment
We're going to practise listening by listening to a podcast.
You can choose from two podcasts Spooked and The Moth.
I have selected two episodes that you can listen to.
You listen to the one that interests you most.
Listen to the podcast and do the assignments.

Spooked
Spooked features true-life supernatural stories, told firsthand by people who can barely believe it happened themselves. Be afraid. Created in the dark of night, by Snap Judgment and WNYC Studios. WNYC Studios is a listener-supported producer of other leading podcasts including Radiolab, Freakonomics Radio, Death, Sex & Money, On the Media, and many others.

The Moth
Moth stories are true, as remembered by the storyteller and always told live. Listen to the latest episode of The Moth Radio Hour, Moth Podcast, or dip into our library of stories going back to 1997.

Spooked - s01e03
"Border Boogeyman" - Back in the 90s, Rocky Elmore worked as a border patrol agent, just East of San Diego. He did night patrol—and out there, in the pitch black, he was never sure if he was completely alone.

"The Seer" - The trouble began in Sri Lanka, when Chandra’s aunt woke up one day and couldn’t move her arms or legs. The doctors had no answers, but a mysterious priest led the family on a quest to find the truth beyond medical science.
