LessonUp
In computing we use an online resource called LessonUp. To access it you have to open up "Google Chrome" - double click on the logo on the desktop.

In the address bar at the top type "lessonup.app" and press enter.

The World’s First Computer Programmer
Long before computers even existed, Ada Lovelace imagined how they could work.

🧠 In the 1800s, she worked with Charles Babbage on plans for a mechanical computer and wrote the first-ever algorithm — making her the first computer programmer in history!

🎩 She was a Victorian mathematician, a pioneer, and a woman who proved that imagination and logic can change the world.

Protect Your Account – Keep Your Work Safe
🖥️ To change your password:

Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE on your keyboard (all at the same time)

Select “Change a Password”

Enter your old password, then your new one twice

✏️ Write your username and new password neatly in your planner so you don’t forget it!

💡 Password Tips:
✅ At least 8 characters
✅ Include CAPITALS, numbers, or symbols
✅ Make it memorable but not obvious
❌ Don’t use your name, birthday or “password123”
🔁 You’ll also use CTRL + ALT + DELETE to log off at the end of every lesson.

🎯 Keep your account safe. Never share your password with anyone (except your teacher if needed).

The school uses an advance monitoring system that tracks key presses, images / media viewed and logs websites viewed - This is monitored my Mrs Moors and student services - serious sanctions are put in place for misusing the computer system!

Homework
You will be set homework once every half term and you will get one week to complete it.

It will be set on MS Teams, shared and reminded vocally in lessons and are set every half term. MCAS alerts for parents will happen as well.

Highest ATL scores are dependent on this being done.
Failure to do them will lower your ATL significantly!
