Biology is the science of everything that is currently alive, or has been alive (so is now dead).
Bio- (alive) -logie (learning of).

Visit to the lab
Right now we will be visiting the lab, please keep in mind this is a workplace with several expensive/dangerous equipment, so please to run or frolic (stoeien) with each other :)

Hangman
You can go ahead and play hangman (galgje) in groups of 4 to get used to several biological words. One person chooses a word in fat letters from the first chapter of the book. If there is one more try left, the person who chose the word can explain what the word means, to help the other people. When a word is guessed, another person can choose a word.

Please bring a notebook with you for the next lesson. It doesn't matter what kind it is, as long as it works well for you (I personally prefer a big notebook with lines)
