Tag questions zijn korte vragen aan het einde van een zin die je gebruikt om bevestiging te vragen. Je gebruikt ze voornamelijk in spreektaal.

Als een kant positief is (+), dan is de ander negatief (-)

A lot of

Bij bevestigende zinnen gebruik je a lot of, voor zowel telbare als ontelbare zelfstandig naamwoorden.

I have a lot of hair on my head.

You have a lot of coins in your piggy bank.

Few / little

Few, little = weinig

I spend very little of my earnings on new shoes.

Few people know the risks of drinking at a young age.

We gebruiken to be going to of will / shall om over de toekomst te praten. Er zit verschil in het gebruik, let daar op!

Vorm:

To be going to + hele werkwoord

Will / shall + hele werkwoord

Als het plan er al was vóór het gesprek:

Bij een voorspelling op basis van een aanwijzing:

Bij onzekerheden over de toekomst. Vaak in combinatie met I think, probably of possibly.
