Fire Drill

  • In the event of the fire alarm going off we will evacuate the building.

  • Leave all your belongings behind.

  • We will make our way out the nearest fire exit and onto the green outside. Stay calm, no running.

  • You must stay in your group.

  • We will wait until it is safe for us to return to the building.

  • Have good attendance- 90% or over and arrive to sessions on time

  • Attend all timetabled sessions

  • Meet all deadlines

  • Always wear your ID badge

  • Be respectful to peers and staff

  • Actively participate in all sessions

  • Follow the Learner professional standards- Dress code ( college and Salon),

  • Only Smoke/Vape in the dedicated areas.

  • Do not engage in any bullying or offensive behaviour, contact tutors to discuss any concerns.

  • You will be required to practice hairdressing techniques on each other and be prepared to have your hair shampooed most sessions

  • Undertake paying clients

  • Consistently revisit practical skills

  • You will have one salon session a week that ends at 8pm.

  • Watch demonstration on different curling techniques using both a tong and straighteners to achieve a Hollywood wave.

  • Section the hair into neat 4 sections.

  • Curl the hair using the different curling methods.

  • Compare the different curls and explain your preferred look.
