Find another student who is reading the same book
1. Talk about your progress; how far are you? Compare notes. 
Choose 1 paragraph/chapter you read (something difficult, interesting, important...)
2. Read it out loud & discuss / help each other
3. If time, discuss the themes you encountered in the first part of your book, and/or the role of animals.
Next time, you will compare these topics with your speaking partner
