There are 4 ways to talk about the future in English:
1. Present continuous
2. To be going to
3. Shall/Will
4. Present simple

To talk about appointments where the time/place has been set (arrangements)


He is leaving for New Zealand tomorrow.
I'm meeting Susan at the train station.

When someone is planning to do something (or not)

Form:
am/are/is (to be) + going to + verb

Examples:


Look! He is going to fall off his bike!
Look at those dark clouds. It is going to rain. 
I am not going to hike tomorrow. I am too tired to hike.

will + not = won't
He won't come to school as he is ill.
