Future tenses  -  to be going to
When to Use Going to
1 For plans and intentions made before the moment they were spoken.
    I am going to accept the job!
2 To make guesses that are very likely to be true.
    Look at those clouds, it is going to rain!
3 Use it as a general verb form for the future, especially in spoken English.
    What time are you going to visit grandma?

Je gebruikt am/is/are + going to + ww als je iets in de toekomst van plan bent of als je een voorspelling doet waarvoor je bewijs hebt.

I am going to cook dinner for my parents next Tuesday.

Je kunt ook will + ww gebruiken gebruiken om te vertellen dat iets in de toekomst gaat gebeuren. 

Will is for intentions formed at the moment of speaking (promise, offer).

Je gebruikt will + ww (of shall bij een vraag) als je iets 
aanbiedt, aankondigt of belooft op het moment dat je spreekt.
Ook gebruik je het als een voorspelling doet zonder bewijs.
I will get you something to drink.
My sister will have a baby in June.
He probably will be late again. (Je weet het niet zeker)
