The expression is an odd kind of English. 
Normally adjective before the noun (Macabre Dance).
Old fixed expression from the Middle Ages. 
Often written in medieval French form danse macabre. In French, adjectives come after the noun.
It is sometimes "translated" into English as The Dance of Death.
