- Germany's attempt to capture the British Isles
- Hitler thought that a big fight wasn't neccesary
- June till September, 1940
- Mostly a battle in the air, lots of bombings
- The RAF was stronger and won the Battle of Britain

- If lost, it could have changed the course of the war

- Thousands of rockets hit their targets in Britain.
- The V1 was the first ballistic missle! No pilot was needed.
- The V2 was bigger, badder and more advanced. 
- The only reason the bombings ended was because of the German retreat.
- Helped to put man in space!

- Operation fortitude helped to confuse the Germans on the specifics of the invasion.
- This all helped to suprise the Germans in the morning of June the 6th, 1944

- Why do you think this helped to end the Britsh Empire?
