Lesson goals

I can use the future tense in a sentence

Slide 4 - Slide

Different futures
If you want to express something that is going to happen in the future, you can use different ways to express future tense.

- to be going to
- will

Slide 5 - Slide

What is the difference?
Something is planned and is certain to happen: 'to be going to'.
Example: I am going to visit my grandmother this Friday.
Example 2: We are going to work on Saturday.
to be + going to + infinitive (= hele ww)

Als iets zeker gaat gebeuren, dan gebruik je:
werkvorm van "to be" + "going to" + hele werkwoord

Slide 6 - Slide

What is the difference?
Something is not planned yet or uncertain to happen: 'will'.
Example: I will visit my grandmother.
Example 2: We will be busy this Saturday.
will + infinitive (= hele ww)

Als je iets van plan bent, maar het is nog niet zeker dan gebruik je:                          "will" + hele werkwoord
