The Greenhouse Effect
Greenhouse effect (works almost similar to a greenhouse)
1. Solar rays come to earth
2. The atmosphere contains greenhouse gases (CO², CH4, H²O)
3. The sun's rays pass through the greenhouse gases
4. Heat rays are created by absorption of the earth
5. Some heat rays pass through the atmosphere
6. Other heat rays are stopped by the greenhouse gases

Goals of this lesson
  1. You know which fossil fuels exist.
  2. You can explain how fossil fuels play a major role in the Netherlands and the rest of
    the world.
  3. You can explain how the use of fossil fuels affects the atmosphere.
  4. You can explain how the greenhouse effect works (notes).
  5. You can explain the difference between the greenhouse effect and the enhanced
    greenhouse
    effect (G126).

FOSSIL FUELS
  1. You know which fossil fuels exist.
  2. You can explain how fossil fuels play a major role in the Netherlands and the rest of the world.
  3. Explain our energy consumption.
Read "Energy" at page 40, look at figure 2 and answer the goals in your notebook.
