Example of a vision:
"Petrol and diesel cars from 2030 are no longer welcome in Amsterdam. The city wants to make traffic emission-free by expanding environmental zones and introducing emission-free areas. The municipal council wants to tackle emissions with the ' Clean Air Action Plan ' . “ We want cleaner air for all Amsterdammers,” says head of traffic Sharon Dijksma. According to the GGD, the current air pollution in the capital is equivalent to the daily smoke of 6 cigarettes.
“ Dirty air is an assassin, ” says Dijksma. “ On average, Amsterdammers live a year shorter due to dirty air. " Amsterdam car owners to be helped in the transition with grants and exemptions. The municipality will expand the charging station network in the city. Anyone who buys an electric car can request a charging station.
This is a solution that counteracts air pollution and global warming: but how should it be implemented?
