  • What do we use the zero conditional for?
  • To describe a fact or a situation that we accept as generally true or general habits.

  • What is an example of a zero conditional?
  • If you touch a fire, you get burnt
  • You get water if you mix hydrogen and oxygen

  • What do we use the first conditional for?
  • To describe a situation that will happen if a condition is met. A situation is likely to happen.

  • What is an example of a first conditional?
  • If I see her, I'll tell her.
  • She'll be late if the train is delayed.

  • To talk about impossible or imaginary situations.
