The Present Simple
Use:
Scheduled events in the near future, with a fixed timetable (arrival and departure times, opening and closing times, start and end times).

Form:
 - Infinitive ('sing' of 'work') 
- bij he/she/it (SHIT) --> infinitive + s ('sings' of 'works') 

Example:
'My bus leaves at 5.05'
'The show starts at nine o'clock'

The Present Continuous
Use:
When something is going to take place in the near future. It concerns things that have been arranged (for example a date, a concert, or a birthday that is in your calendar). So you have already made arrangements or preparations for it.

Form:
 - form of to be + ww + ing (' am singing' of 'are working')

Example:
'Tom is taking Karen out for dinner tonight.'
'We are visiting our grandparents next Saturday.'

To be + going to + hele ww
Use:
  1. When the plan already existed before the conversation.
  2. For a prediction that is based on evidence (a present indication).

Form:
- to be + going to + verb (''am going to watch' of 'are going to eat') 

Example:
'I am going to study for the next test.'
'Look, it is going to rain.'


Don't forget the form of  'to be' !!

Use:
  1. For a plan that is made during the conversation.
  2. For a spontaneous offer, a promise, a suggestion, or a request.
  3. For a prediction that is based on an opinion or when there is uncertainty about the future.
  4. For facts or general truths.

Form:
Will + verb ('will be' of 'won't sleep') 

Example: 
'It will be sunny in summer. '
'He won't be late next time' 
Negative form of will + not = won't
