A theme topic is a broad idea repeated throughout the text that is usually 1-2 words.

Examples: Adventure, Love, Human Nature, Justice, Loyalty, Death etc.

  1. the main idea (a very brief summary of the story)
  2. the moral (the lesson that can be taken from the story)
  3. the theme topic (an important subject - 1 word - that is presented)
  4. the theme statement (the deeper universal meaning of the story)
