Moving to an other country is called migration.

Many western and non-western immigrants settled in the Netherlands since the 1950's.

A guest worker is a foreigner who works in the Netherlands.

In 1949 many workers were needed to work in the mines in Limburg.

Many people form southern Europe and Morrocco and Turkey moved to the Netherlands to work in the mines.
