What will we do in  MYP2 Spanish?
          In the first term all students will be in Emergent level (phase 1 or 2).

           You'll start with basic vocabulary and phrases and we will build up from there.
           Interactive activities: Games, role-plays, and projects will be part of your learning.
        Cultural understanding: We will explore Spanish-speaking countries and traditions.

Assessments in MYP2
In class we will work with the 4 skills, which we group as follows:

Criterion A: Listening
Criterion B: Reading
Criterion C: Speaking
Criterion D: Writing

Assessments will include quizzes, presentations, and projects and of course regular assessments.                                                                                                     Every term you will:
          Do formative tasks for each criterion (A, B, C and D).
           Receive feedback for your formatives tasks and reflect on this feedback.
           Be assessed twice per criterion (A, B, C and D).
           Develop ATL skills that will help your performance in class and in real life.

        Same structure as MYP2 for formative tasks, summative assessments and ATL skills.

       At the end of the year, students either stay in Emergeny level or advance to Capable.

When do I really have to decide?
At the end of January you and your parents will receive a Google Form, where you need to indicate your final choice. Make sure to fill in this form together with your parents.

Are changes allowed?
             Students study the chosen language from MYP2 to MYP5/DP.

             Language changes, except in very special circumstances, will not be allowed.
