- For expressing present intentions for the future.

3. Present continuous (verb-ing)
- Used to talk about something we have arranged (carefully planned)

"I'm meeting Henry for lunch on Friday."

*Remember - going to and present continuous are very similar. You can always use going to instead of present continuous.

Going to = not carefully planned, Pres. con. = carefully planned

- There are some other phrases used for discussing future plans and arrangements: 

- decided to... (V1)
- planning to... (V1)
- hoping to... (V1)
- thinking of... (verb-ing)
