Key Objective
Understand and apply vector design principles to create a logo that scales without losing quality.

Slide 5 - Slide

  • Vector images are pictures made with math, not pixels.

  • Instead of tiny pixels (like a photo), a vector image uses lines, shapes, and curves that the computer can stretch or shrink without getting blurry.

  • That’s why logos are often vectors — you can make them as small as a badge or as big as a billboard and they always stay clear.
What are vector images?

Logos vs Icons vs Illustrations
  • Logo – A brand picture. It shows who something belongs to. It helps people recognise a company, team, or product straight away.

  • Icon – A small symbol that tells you what to do. Icons are simple and usually used on screens

  • Illustration – A detailed drawing or picture. Illustrations are used to decorate, explain ideas, or tell a story, and they don’t have to be small or simple like icons.
