Social Skills and Confidence
helps anxious and shy people feel safe.  An extension or version of reality with safety, its own rules, immersion levels and options.
Better Teamwork
Helps with cooperation skills.  This is a crucial life skill.  Helps with self-reflection like how to improve your play in a game.  Helps you be more productive.
Leadership Skills
Works with cooperation still but as part of a hierarchy.  This means to delegate and manage tasks of other players and take authority.  This leadership in a game can be applied in real life in other leadership roles.
Empathy and connection
In games you are all on an even field.  You will make mistakes, give each other tips, laugh at inside jokes and deepen you connection by sharing stories of failure and success.
Friends and Community
Gaming together can strengthen friendships or even create new ones.  High percentage of gamers make lifelong friends online.
Improve problem solving
Playing games together helps our ability to solve complex problems.
