Cities

• Safety increased. 
• The amount of food increased.
• The surplus in food was for trade.
• People traded in marketplaces.
• Marketplaces grew into cities, and existing cities grew.
• Cities were cramp and filthy.

Guilds

• People with the same craft came together.
• You couldn't practice a craft in a city if you weren't a member of a guild.
• The Guild would train new members.
• Guild regulated hours, quality and the price of the products.
