•  Together we make sure that our school is safe and clean.

• We only eat and drink in the designated areas in school. In class you can drink water. Students take responsibility themselves for their laptops.

• In school/class our faces are recognizable so this means no wearing of caps, hats and helmets in the school.

• Only with permission of the person(s) involved we take pictures or film each other.

What are adjectives?

Adjectives are describing words that modify nouns or pronouns. They tell us the size, shape, color, or other qualities of a noun or pronoun.

Explain what adjectives are, give examples, and encourage students to think of their own examples.

Examples of adjectives

Examples of sentences with adjectives: The red car, a tall building, a delicious pizza.

Provide examples of sentences with adjectives and ask the students to identify the adjectives.

What are adverbs?

Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. They tell us how, when, where, or to what extent something happens.

Difference between Adjectives and Adverbs

Adjectives modify nouns or pronouns, while adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.

Identifying Adjectives and Adverbs

In the sentence 'The cat ran quickly', 'cat' is a noun, 'ran' is a verb, and 'quickly' is an adverb.
