Do you 'comprehend' the text? = Do you understand the text?
Not 'can you analyse the techniques that an author uses in order to achieve his purpose'.
Vocabulary and careful reading are key.
Take your time and do not skim over the text. Look up words that you do not know = you can bring your own dictionary
