What can you remember?

Refers back to a person and can go between commas

Refers back to people, animals and things. It can't go between commas.

Only used for people in combination with a preposition

Which relative pronoun cannot go between commas?
(whose/whom/ who/ that/ which)

When can you leave out a relative pronoun?

When it is followed by another subject, not a verb.

Examples: I need to talk to someone who/that I can trust

Do you have a dictionary that/which he could borrow?

Woorden van 2 lettergrepen die eindigen op le/er/ow/y  krijgen ook

 +er  / + est

Yellow - yellower than - the yellowest

Gentle - gentler than - the gentlest

Let op! Woorden die eindigen op een medeklinker + y krijgen IER/IEST

Happy - happier than - the happiest

Woorden van 2 lettergrepen of meer:

- Comparative: more.....than

- Superlative: the most.....

expensive

more expensive than

the most expensive

Een aantal woorden van 2 lettergrepen mogen alleen met more en most

bijvoorbeeld:

famous - more famous - the most famous

boring - more boring - the most boring

careful - more careful - the most careful

Uitzonderingen: geen +er or +est

Much - more - most

Many - more - most

Little - less - least

Bad - worse -  worst

 Good - better - best

Comparative - in another way
