Negations
You use negations to indicate that something isn't happening or isn't true. You always use the word "not" in negations.

the verb to be only requires the word not to make a negation
other verbs require the words do not/don't

Yes/no questions
For most verbs you add do or does at the start of the sentence.

WH/H questions
Which words that start with wh or h are used at the start of these questions?

  • Who, What, Where, When, Why, Which

WH/H questions
To make a WH/H question you just add one of the WH/H words in front of a 'regular' question.

Do you go to this shop?  ---> When do you go to this shop?
Does he like to do that? ---> Where does he like to do that?
