Read the sentence:

Retrieval or Inference?

1. Work in groups of 3–4.

2. Each group receives:

   • One selected paragraph from the text.

   • One question related to that paragraph.

3. Read the paragraph carefully.

4. Decide whether the question requires:

   • Retrieval (answer is directly stated in the text)

   • 🟩 Inference (answer is suggested and requires interpretation)

5. Highlight or underline the evidence that supports your answer.

6. Record your answer and explain why it is retrieval or inference.

7. Share your findings with the class.
