 VERBINDINGSWOORDEN

1. Verbindingswoorden koppelen zinnen aan elkaar en leggen verbanden tussen zinnen aan. Dit zorgt voor een duidelijke rode draad en verhoog je de leesbaarheid van de tekst. (But, However, Though, Even, Because, Instead and many more...)

2. Verbindingswoorden worden gebruikt bij opsommingen, tegenstellingen, vergelijkingen, voorwaarden, voorbeelden en conclusies

3. Verbindingswoorden noem je ook wel signaalwoorden. Deze woorden helpen je ook bij de vragen.

Reading: gatenteksten en juist/onjuist vragen

In deze les leer jij hoe je het beste gatenteksten en juist/onjuist vragen kunt aanpakken tijdens de leestoets van Engels.

Vragen beantwoorden: algemene tips

• De antwoorden staan in alfabetische volgorde dus het kan gebeuren dat je 6 keer achter elkaar A krijgt, puur toeval. 
  
• Als maar een deel van het antwoord goed is, is het fout. 
• 1 of 2 antwoorden vallen vaak al af omdat het ‘onzinantwoorden’ zijn. 
• Ook als je meteen denkt te weten dat antwoord A goed is moet je de andere antwoorden lezen. Je weet maar nooit …. 
  
• Het goede antwoord is meestal een stukje uit de tekst in andere woorden. 
  

Tips: juist/onjuist vragen

• Antwoorden met de woorden: altijd, nooit, niet  zijn vaak onjuist.
• Het is mogelijk dat álle antwoorden juist zijn, of álle antwoorden onjuist.
• Kijk goed in welke alinea je moet zoeken, focus alleen daarop.

Tips: gatenteksten

• Lees eerst de hele tekst globaal door, zodat je een idee krijgt  over het onderwerp.
• lees de alinea waar je iets moet invullen.
• Zoek woorden die jij niet kent op in het woordenboek (als je tijd hebt)
• Kies het antwoord wat er het meest op lijkt.
