Colouring Flowers: Stay in the Lines!

What do you already know about colouring inside the lines?

Learning Objective

At the end of this lesson you will be able to colour flower drawings neatly, keeping your colours inside the lines.

Why Stay in the Lines?

Colouring inside the lines makes your art look tidy and beautiful. It helps you practise control with your pencils or crayons.

How To Hold Your Pencil

Hold your pencil or crayon gently, with three fingers. This will help you move slowly and draw carefully.

Starting at the Edge

Begin by following the edge of the flower with your colour. Then gently fill in the middle.

Using Small Strokes

Colour with short, light strokes. This makes it easier to stay inside the lines.

Time for Practice!

Now you will get a flower worksheet. Try your best to colour inside the lines using what you have learned.
