You use the definite article "

" to refer to a specific person or thing.

when you talk about persons or things in general.
You also leave it out with certain buildings (
hospital, church, school, university, prison)

Why do we use an imperative?
The imperative is used to give directions and orders, and to advise and warn people.
To make an imperative, you use
the infinitive form of the verb.
