re- 
means 'again' 'back' or 'a reaction of'
turn -> return    visit -> revisit    play -> replay    act -> react

Suffixes (Achtervoegsels)
They come after a word and change the meaning.
-er
Means the one who does the action of the verb.
teach -> teacher    eat -> eater    rap -> rapper
-ing 
Changes the verb into a noun. It's the product of an action.
I paint -> a painting     
-less 
Means 'without'.
hair -> hairless    fear -> fearless      end -> endless

They come after a word and change the meaning.
-ful
Means someone/ something has a certain characteristic (= eigenschap).
shame -> shameful    thought -> thoughtful    colour -> colourful
